Learn about Ali Rasooli and his approach to products and people

Hi, I’m Ali

I am a curious person by nature. I love learning how things work, whether it is products, teams, or the human mind. Psychology fascinates me because understanding people can be just as powerful as understanding technology, and sometimes much more confusing.

I enjoy learning, teaching, and experimenting with new ideas. In my free time, I practice calligraphy, which keeps me humble because one small mistake can ruin a beautiful piece, much like pushing bad code on a Friday afternoon.

Curiosity drives me, small experiments teach me, and I try to leave things better than I found them.

Professionally, I build products that solve real problems and get shipped. I started eight years ago as an engineer, asking one dangerous question: “Why are we building this?” That question led me into product management across FinTech, SaaS, and AI.

Since then, I have launched an AI app from scratch, built payment systems handling 50,000+ monthly transactions, and helped teams scale from slow six month release cycles to fast two week delivery.

My approach is simple:

  • Talk to users before writing code
  • Trust data over opinions
  • Ship useful things
  • Use AI to solve problems, not just to sound impressive

At the end of the day, I enjoy turning complex problems into simple and meaningful solutions.

Professional Background

I build products that solve real problems, and more importantly, I actually get them shipped.

Eight years ago, I started as an engineer. But I had one dangerous habit: I kept asking, “Why are we building this?”

At first, people probably wanted to avoid me in meetings. But that simple question slowly pulled me from engineering into product management.

Since then, I have worked across FinTech, SaaS, and AI, solving different kinds of puzzles.

I launched an AI plant-care app in the Netherlands from zero. Just an idea, a lot of work, and probably too much coffee. In two months, we reached 500+ paid users, joined Google for Startups, and got recognized as innovative by RVO. Not bad for an app whose mission was basically: “Please don’t kill your plant.”

In crypto, I built payment systems handling 50,000+ monthly transactions and led KYC compliance across regions. It is the kind of work nobody notices when it goes right, like plumbing. Invisible, but everyone panics when it breaks.

At Snapp, with millions of users, I helped teams work faster and smarter. Release cycles dropped from six months to two weeks.
